Manufacture & Bioavailability
Our individual bioactive collagen peptides have high bioavailability!
Collagile® human consists of specific nutrifunctional peptide fractions, a highly purified extract of hydrolyzed, enzymatically cleaved collagen hydrolysate.
It consists of low-molecular-weight collagen peptides with a low, average molecular mass.
Therefore, Collagile® human is optimally absorbed by the organism and has higher digestibility and bioavailability than conventional collagen hydrolysate.
In the production of Collagile® human, native collagen is purified by water extraction and broken down into its individual high-molecular-weight components. These are further broken down into low-molecular-weight building blocks by enzymatic cleavage.

Collagile® human – Bioavailability
Collagile® human consists of specific nutrifunctional peptide fractions with an average low molecular weight.
Collagile® human is optimally absorbed by the body and has higher digestibility and bioavailability than conventional collagen hydrolysate.
While higher molecular compounds are first broken down in the digestive tract, our low molecular weight bioactive collagen peptides (oligopeptides) can enter the bloodstream directly via the transport system in the intestinal mucosa.
Collagile® human
Collagile® human contains specific, nutrifunctional peptide fractions for the supply of knees, shoulders, hips, and hands. The high bioavailability of our individual Bioactive Collagen Peptides enables them to enter the bloodstream directly via the transport system in the intestinal mucosa.
Nutrient supply for connective tissue
Bioactive peptide fractions deliver specific protein building blocks that are structurally similar to the body's own collagen. Collagen is a natural component of cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. Adequate protein intake contributes to the provision of these important structural elements, especially during physical activity and athletic exertion.
Support of tissue regeneration
The connective tissue in our body is constantly regenerating. Special protein building blocks, known as bioactive peptide fractions, not only provide nutrients but can also support tissue regeneration processes by specifically providing building blocks for the body's own collagen formation – important for maintaining flexibility and mobility during physical exertion.
Protein intake for the musculoskeletal system
A protein-rich diet is fundamental for muscles and the musculoskeletal system. Bioactive peptide fractions provide targeted protein intake and support the body in building its own structures. Especially during sports activities or increased physical exertion, a sufficient supply of these peptides can be beneficial.

FAQ
Here you will find the answers to the most important questions
What are bioactive collagen peptides?
What are bioactive collagen peptides?
Bioactive collagen peptides are smaller sections of collagen, a high-molecular-weight protein molecule, and are obtained through enzymatic cleavage. Studies have shown that certain peptides can be absorbed into the body unharmed through the intestinal wall and accumulate in the structures of the musculoskeletal system.
They are referred to as bioactive because they reach the desired target site and are biologically active.
How does Collagile® human differ from the conventional collagen hydrolysates on offer?
How does Collagile® human differ from the conventional collagen hydrolysates on offer?
Collagile® human differs significantly from conventional collagen hydrolysates.
The chosen manufacturing process is crucial for quality and biological value. The peptides in Collagile® human are obtained in a highly controlled hydrolysis process using enzymatic cleavage, which has been optimized for the extraction of bioactive collagen peptides. The product is then purified, concentrated, sterilized, and dried. This ensures consistent, optimal quality.
The following graphic shows the manufacturing process.
On the left side of the graphic, you see the raw material, gelatine.

What happens if too much has been taken?
International authorities such as the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classify Bioactive Collagen Peptides as safe.
The body is already very familiar with the structural protein collagen, as approximately 30% of the protein is found in the body. Therefore, by consuming specific collagen peptides, one is taking in a familiar molecule that is then accepted by the body.
Furthermore, specific collagen peptides are classified as food and thus have the same legal status as, for example, meat or vegetables. Specific collagen peptides also do not have an E-number compared to many food additives.
Are there any undesirable side effects?

How does Collagile® human differ from Collagile® active?
How does Collagile® human differ from Collagile® active?
Both products are obtained through water extraction and subsequent enzymatic cleavage of the collagen molecules. By selecting the enzymes used and the type of hydrolysis conditions, the yield of specific peptides and thus the properties of the collagen hydrolysate obtained can be influenced. This makes it possible to produce specific peptide fractions that are optimized for certain cell types in terms of their bioavailability.
Collagile® human primarily contains a peptide fraction that has particularly high bioavailability in cartilage. Collagile® active also contains a fraction for better absorption into the fibroblasts of the skin, tendons and ligaments, and indirectly also muscle cells. This is intended to provide nutritional support to all joint structures that are subjected to increased stress during athletic activity.

How long does a can last?
How long does a can last?
The daily recommendation is 10 g, and one can contains at least 300 g. Therefore, one can lasts 30 days if exactly 10 g are taken daily.
Each can contains a measuring spoon that, when leveled, holds approx. 10 g. However, a measuring spoon is not a calibrated scale and serves only as a practical aid for daily dosing, hence the indication of "approx.". Therefore, it may happen that instead of the daily 10 g, 1-2 g more may end up in the measuring spoon. This is harmless, but if it happens often, then one can will not last 30 days.
To take exactly 10 g daily, it is unavoidable to weigh out the daily portions on a calibrated scale. This involves more effort, but then one can will last 30 days.
The packaging, including the measuring spoon and lid, weighs a total of 60g. If you weigh an unopened can on a calibrated scale, the total weight must be at least 360g.
Why is the can not filled to the brim?
Why is the can not filled to the brim?
There is a comprehensible technical explanation for this:
When we produce the powder and fill it into the cans, the powder first expands, and the Collagile® human can is filled to approximately 85% at the time of filling.
During transport and storage, the powder settles again and gradually compresses. In contrast to the moment of filling, the fill level is significantly lower later on.
It is therefore technically necessary to maintain the height of the current Collagile® human can to guarantee the stated net content.
Alternatively, the powder could be granulated, which would significantly reduce the compaction of the powder. However, this would require chemical additives, and then Collagile® would no longer be a pure natural product. Therefore, we forgo this option to maintain the naturalness of Collagile®.
To determine whether the content of your Collagile® human can corresponds to the stated net content, you can do the following:
The total packaging, including the measuring spoon and lid, weighs 60g. If you weigh an unopened Collagile® human can on a calibrated scale, the total weight must be at least 360g.
