Collagile® active – an added value for all athletes
Production:
During the production of Collagile® active, native collagen is purified by water extraction and broken down into its individual high-molecular components. In a second step, Bioactive Collagen Peptides are obtained through targeted enzymatic cleavage into low-molecular building blocks. These are characterized by high biological availability.
Due to the special manufacturing process, Collagile® active contains almost exclusively bioavailable Bioactive Collagen Peptides – and that in a consistent composition with a guarantee of the highest quality.

FAQ
Here you will find the answers to the most important questions
What are Bioactive Collagen Peptides?
What are Bioactive Collagen Peptides?
Bioactive collagen peptides are smaller fragments of collagen, a high-molecular-weight protein molecule, and are obtained through enzymatic cleavage. Studies have shown that certain peptides can be absorbed into the body intact through the intestinal wall and accumulate in the structures of the musculoskeletal system.
They are referred to as bioactive because they reach their desired target site and are biologically active.
How does Collagile® active differ from conventional collagen hydrolysates on the market?
How does Collagile® active differ from conventional collagen hydrolysates on the market?
Collagile® active differs significantly from conventional collagen hydrolysates.
The chosen manufacturing process is of crucial importance for quality and biological value. The peptides in Collagile® active are obtained in a highly controlled hydrolysis process by enzymatic cleavage, which has been optimized for the extraction of specific Bioactive Collagen Peptides. The product is then purified, concentrated, sterilized and dried. This ensures consistent, optimal quality.
The following graphic shows the manufacturing process.
On the left side of the graphic you can see the raw material, gelatin.
In the first hydrolysis step, we obtain the conventional collagen hydrolysate.
Only through targeted enzymatic cleavage (right) is the final product, our Bioactive Collagen Peptides, created.
To achieve comparable bioactivity with conventional collagen hydrolysate, you would have to take a significantly higher amount!
From what is Collagile® active obtained?
From what is Collagile® active obtained?
The starting material is collagen protein from the skin of pigs and cattle, which have been inspected by veterinary authorities and approved for human consumption. Made in Germany.
How and when should Collagile® active be taken?
How and when should Collagile® active be taken?
Collagile® active is a neutral-smelling and tasteless powder that dissolves well in water. It can be stirred into water, juices, sports drinks, or yogurt. Coffee or black tea are less suitable due to the accompanying substances they contain.
It can be taken once daily, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it within one hour after training. On non-training days, it should be taken at approximately the same time.
When taking 15g, we recommend approximately 250 ml of liquid, and for yogurt, a standard cup.
Collagile® active is intended for continuous use but should be consumed for at least 6 consecutive months.
Regular intake (compliance) at the same time is important.
Which collagen types is Collagile® active derived from?
Which collagen types is Collagile® active derived from?
Our individual bioactive collagen peptides are derived from collagen types 1 (approx. 95%) and 3 (approx. 5%). However, the collagen types do not play a role, as these are specific highly bioavailable peptides.
What happens if too much was ingested?
What happens if too much was ingested?
Collagile® active is a safe food supplement and classified as safe. No undesirable effects are known. In very large quantities, slight digestive problems are possible.
International authorities such as the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classify Bioactive Collagen Peptides as safe.
The body is already very familiar with the structural protein collagen, as about 30% of the protein is found in the body. By consuming Bioactive Collagen Peptides, you are therefore ingesting a molecule that is known to and accepted by the body.
Furthermore, Bioactive Collagen Peptides are classified as food and thus have the same legal status as, for example, meat or vegetables. Bioactive Collagen Peptides also do not have an E-number compared to many food additives.

What is the difference between Collagile® active and Collagile® human?
What is the difference between Collagile® active and Collagile® human?
Both products are obtained through water extraction and subsequent enzymatic cleavage of collagen molecules. The yield of specific peptides and thus the properties of the obtained collagen hydrolysate can be influenced by selecting the enzymes used and the type of hydrolysis conditions. This makes it possible to produce specific peptide fractions that are optimized for certain cell types in terms of their bioavailability.
Collagile® human primarily contains a peptide fraction that has particularly high bioavailability in cartilage. Collagile® active additionally contains a fraction for better absorption into the fibroblasts of the skin, tendons and ligaments, as well as indirectly into muscle cells. This is intended to support all joint structures that are increasingly stressed during athletic activity.
Is Collagile® active suitable for allergy sufferers?

How long does a can last?
How long does a can last?
The daily recommendation is 15g, and each can contains at least 450g. Therefore, one can lasts 30 days if exactly 15g are taken daily.
Each can contains a measuring scoop, which, when level, holds about 7.5g. However, a measuring scoop is not a calibrated scale and serves only as a practical aid for daily dosing. Therefore, it can happen that instead of the daily 15g, 1-2g more end up in the scoop. This is harmless, but if it happens often, one can will not last 30 days.
To consume exactly 15g daily, it is unavoidable to weigh the daily portions on a calibrated scale. This involves more effort, but then one can will last 30 days.
Why isn't the can filled to the brim?
Why isn't the can filled to the brim?
There is a comprehensible technical explanation for this:
When we produce the powder and fill it into the cans, the powder initially swells and the Collagile® active can is approximately 85% full at the time of filling.
Due to transport and storage, the powder settles again and gradually compacts, so the fill level is significantly lower later than at the time of filling.
It is therefore technically necessary to maintain the height of the current Collagile® active can to guarantee the stated net content.
Alternatively, the powder could be granulated, which would significantly reduce the compaction of the powder. However, this would require chemical additives, and Collagile® would no longer be a pure natural product. Therefore, we refrain from this option to maintain the naturalness of Collagile®.
To determine whether the content of your Collagile® active can corresponds to the stated net content, you can do the following:
The packaging, including the measuring spoon and lid, weighs 80g in total. If you weigh an unopened Collagile® active can on a calibrated scale, the total weight must be at least 525g.
